Founded in 2018 by documentary filmmaker and entrepreneur Alec Fischer, Fischr Media is dedicated to bringing authentic, Midwestern stories into the mainstream national conversation.

Within a year of launch, Fischr Media’s corporate clients included Mall of America and Hilton Resorts, and video campaigns included appearances from celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker.

Fischr Media’s latest documentary series, Covid Confessions, has garnered international attention for its portrayal of authentic pandemic experiences among frontline workers. In addition to winning 4 Upper Midwest Emmy Awards (nominated for 8), Covid Confessions has received a national GLAAD Media Award nomination for “Outstanding Journalism - Video or Multimedia”, and was named as a global finalist for best “Digital Video Storytelling, Series” next to The New York Times and South China Morning Post by the Online News Association.
